After much reflection, I am excited to announce my candidacy for the House of Delegates in Maryland’s District 19.

For the past seven years I have served the people of Montgomery County as an Assistant State's Attorney. My job has been to deliver justice for victims and their families. When they come to my office seeking help, I see in their eyes fear and desperation. And, I see hope, the hope that someone will listen to them, do better by them and the community.

It has been my honor to serve as their representative and their voice. I have done my job with integrity, conviction, and passion. For me, it is not about winning a case; it is about delivering justice, restoring hope, and serving our community.

We have so many more opportunities to do right for our families, to do right for our community and to do right for Maryland. And that is why I want to serve in the House of Delegates.

On education, giving every child the tools to succeed, justly compensating our educators, and fully funding our schools, I promise you my heart. On real solutions for the medical crisis facing the elderly, uninsured and uninsurable, I promise my conviction. On public safety, protecting our most vulnerable, solving the gang problem in a proactive way, preventing economic exploitation of the elderly, and reforming a broken juvenile justice system, I promise you my passion. On every issue I can impact, from transportation to taxation, I promise the courage and integrity to continue to serve our community.

In order to move forward and help more people on a larger scale I will need your help. In the coming weeks I will be seeking your advice and your support. I know that the people of our community and I can count on you. Thank you.
